How to Do Sales Recruitment Properly

Recruiting sales professionals is notoriously difficult. So how can this statistic be improved to get stability in your sales team together with the potent sales performance?

The answer is twofold. Firstly you must select the right sales recruitment partner and secondly you must ensure that you know exactly what it is that you're looking by having a thorough job specification.

Selecting a recruitment Partner

With over 17,000 recruitment businesses in the UK there is an incredibly wide choice of suppliers available to UK employers. Sales Recruitment is a specialist field and an expert sales recruiter will understand your business and what you are looking to achieve in increasing your sales team. Normally you will pay a fee that's a few percent more than a high street recruiter but in return your time will be saved.

Three hints and tips for choosing a sales recruitment partner for your business:

What's their specialism? There are sales recruitment businesses out there that will specialise in a very niche sector such as electronics or capital equipment sales. One of the easiest ways to see if they will both understand your business and have the right candidates to recommend is to simply perform a search of the sales jobs on their website. If they are recruiting for similar vacancies they can probably be able to quickly help fill your vacancies.

What will they do for their fee? Will they meet the candidates that they recommend, will they psychometrically profile each candidate, will they undertake references on your behalf? You may pay more for these services but they will save money in the long term.

What is their rebate scheme? How long will the recruiter underwrite the risk of hiring new sales staff. Most recruiters offer just a 4 week rebate scheme so search and choose your recruiting partner carefully as there are some sales recruitment agencies that offer 6 month or 12 month rebate scheme.

Deciding on a Job Specification

Hopefully your recruitment partner will help you to put this together but beforehand it is imperative that you can articulate exactly the kind of sales professional that you are looking to recruit. Sit with a colleague and a white board and spend a half hour describing the role, responsibilities and expectations before then looking at the experience and qualities required to succeed. Too often companies embark on a recruiting campaign and hire someone who from an experience perspective is ideal but from a cultural perspective is disastrous.

What is the job title? What is the geographic area? What doe we expect the individual to achieve in 3 months/6 months/12 months? How are we going to recruit for this person? Do they need to have industry knowledge? Do we want to approach individuals from competitors aligned businesses? What are the hours? What is the ideal basic and commission package that we'd like to pay? What's the maximum we could go to? What's the backgrounds of our existing successful team members - would a background like this work again? What training do we have in place - could we employ someone with no market knowledge or product knowledge? What is the sales approach going to be? New business, account management or mix? What personal qualities will the individual need to display? Why would someone want to join our business? Where could this individual go in our business in 12 months/36 months? How would we describe our corporate culture? How are we going to manage this individual? What's our back up plan if we can't recruit in 3 months/6 months? What is our recruitment process going to be - first interview, second interview, personality profiling, skills testing, second interview presentation, etc.

I hope that these short hints will help you select the right sales recruitment partner and the right sales professional for your business. Good luck in meeting your sales targets.

Mlm Leadership Training Can Be Fun! Edition 1

The traditional learning style of classroom learning, seminars, books and CD's offered by the leadership of these companies provides good information, but does not equate to success for most people.

Developing mastery in mlm takes discipline and a lot of hard work. There are five categories in mlm that you will need to develop mastery in to be successful. They are Personal Growth, Customer Acquisition, Recruiting, Team Building, and Leadership.

The “how” is also very important, and interactivity in training helps you learn quicker and retain the information. mlm training needs to be interactive, fun, and engaging!

It is tough to make an article interactive, however we will do our best here…

Since everything you do will duplicate, leading by example is a fundamental skill that is imperative to your success. Having a team in network marketing offers an unparalleled opportunity to practice, and duplicate what you learn with your team. Furthermore you will be given endless opportunities to challenge your downline to grow in a supportive and fun environment that is ideal for accelerated learning.

In this article we will focus on Leadership.

Here are some fun questions we have created for you.

Question #1

To be successful in MLM you need…

A) to be innovative
B) to be coachable
C) to keep it a secret
D) a degree in business

If you like the question, share it with anyone you know in the mlm, network marketing or direct sales business. This question was created taken from the MLM training tool MLM The Game, think of the answer, re-read the question if you need to, and answer the question mentally.

The answer to the question is: B) to be coachable
Being innovative is likely to help you in life in many ways, mlm is all about following a system, a system designed for you to have success. This is one of the best things about network marketing, you don’t have to create your marketing plans or your other business systems. Keeping it a secret is obviously wrong, and another great thing about mlm is that there is no degree needed. To follow the system, you need to be coachable; this is one of the most important factors to your future success. Follow the system, it is ok to follow it in your own style, but follow it, and you will have the greatest chance in achieving the same success that the others who are using that system are having.

Question #2

To keep a person inspired and moving forward what do you do?

A) call them everyday
B) attempt to motivate them
C) tell them to "think positive"
D) show them how to let go of their fears

If you like the question, share it with anyone you know in the mlm, network marketing or direct sales business. This question was created by Jim Britt, and placed inside the MLM training tool MLM The Game, think of the answer, re-read the question if you need to, and answer the question mentally.

The answer to the question is: D) show them how to let go of their fears

No one likes to be nagged, so just calling everyday or multiple times a day will not motivate them or inspire them to move forward quicker. Attempts to motivate them may come off as working, and temporarily they may get excited, but they will revert back to their normal state after you leave.

Thinking positive is important, but not the entire answer. They must be able to let go of their fears, because it is our fears and past experiences that cause our challenges of today.

We encourage you to use question and game based learning for everything you do. Question based learning will engage more senses, and increase your retention of the information. This is the type of network marketing training that will engage your team.

Whenever you read a book, magazine, or article, get creative and create your own questions.

This is fun, and it will permanently transfer the information to your brain. This is also a fun way to engage your team. For extra fun, you can give away prizes for correct answers when you send out e-mail blasts with your questions, and continue to learn together!

How To Create A Selling System That Always Works

In this article excerpt, I'd like to outline briefly what a "selling system" is, explain the concept of a selling system that always works and point out a fundamental mistake that many business owners make in their sales process which, if done properly, can really explode your sales.

According to Michael Gerber, author of the best-selling business book "The E-Myth Revisited: Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work And What To Do About It", a selling system is a fully orchestrated interaction between you and your customer that follows 6 fundamental steps:

Step 1) Identify specific benchmarks (consumer decision points) in your selling process
Step 2) Script the words that will get you to each of those consumer decision points successfully
Step 3) Create all the various materials that will be used with each script
Step 4) Memorize each benchmark's script
Step 5) Deliver each script in identical fashion
Step 6) Allow the system to do its work, while you communicate more effectively by observing, listening, hearing, acknowledging, understanding and engaging fully with your prospect.

Now, until you actually try to build and implement a selling system that follows the exact steps described above, you won't know just how powerful and effective this system really is or just how much detail is required to make everything work seamlessly.

Now, I can't explain all six steps here … that's way beyond the scope of this article. What I do want to elaborate a little more upon, however, is Step 1 - Identifying specific benchmarks in your selling process.

There are four specific benchmarks, or consumer decision points, in the E-Myth selling system.

The first benchmark is the Appointment Presentation. The aim of the Appointment Presentation is to get an appointment with a prospect.

An excellent product that can help you make more sales appointments is Sales Scripts Pro. Sales Scripts Pro is a 'step-by-step' scripts tool building program that can help businesses get more sales appointments using a scripts tool when making cold calls. Some of the many benefits of using this sales scripts tool program is that it can help turn any person in your business into a cold call expert and help your business expand quicker.

The second benchmark, or consumer decision point, is the Needs Analysis Presentation. The aim of the Needs Analysis Presentation is to help you understand your prospect's needs. This is done mostly through listening and by using specific tools and processes like a Needs Analysis Questionnaire.

Once you have identified your prospect's needs, you then move on to the next stage of the sales process … the Solutions Presentation. This is where you present your solution. If you or your sales person has done the job right during the previous phase, then you should know exactly what your prospect's needs are and how your specific solution can help them meet those needs.

And if you follow the six-step selling system outlined in this article and deliver the right solution presentation using the right tools and scripts that you have developed as part of completing Steps 2 and 3 when building your sales system, then your prospect should move through to the Decision Confirmation stage, where, hopefully, you will have addressed all of their questions, concerns and objections and they are now ready to make a decision to purchase your particular product or service and become your new customer.

Now, here's where many businesses make a fundamental mistake that can significantly impact their sales results …

Borrowed Profits: Leveraged Investing Ideas To Generate Big Gains In The Markets

"Leverage" means investing with cash that is, at a fixed rate, borrowed in the hopes of earning a greater rate of return. Like the lever, the simple machine for which it is named, leverage lets you use a small amount of cash to exert a lot of financial power. Many companies use leverage, called “trading on equity,” when they issue both stocks and bonds. Their earnings per share may increase because they expand operations with the money raised by bonds. But they must use some of the profit in order to repay the original loan plus interest.

To buy on margin, most brokers have additional hurdles to go through in order to set up a margin account and transfer the required minimum in cash or securities to the account. Then, you can borrow up to 50% of the stock’s price and buy with the combined funds. For example, if you bought 1,000 shares at $10 a share, your total cost would be $10,000. By buying on margin, you put up $5,000 and borrow the remaining $5,000. If you then sell when the stock price rises to $15 you would get $15,000. You then repay the $5,000 borrowed (plus interest) and keep the $10,000 balance. That’s almost a 100% profit versus the 50% you would have gotten from a standard buy. A virtual profit-making machine if used appropriately and with caution.

Buying on margin is a great way to generate some huge gains off of stock trades, but the downside risk is staggering. Nevertheless, if you want to increase the potential return on any stock investment, making an educated bet with a margin call is one of the best and easiest investing ideas around. You can borrow up to half of the purchase price from your broker. If you can sell the stock at a higher price than it originally cost, you can repay the loan, plus interest and commission, and keep the profit. However, if the stock drops in value, you still have to repay the loan. This means that your losses could be larger than if you had owned the stock outright.

If the market value of your investment falls below its required minimum, the firm issues a margin call. You must either meet the call by adding money to your account to bring it up to the required minimum or sell the stock and take your losses then and there. When the margin call comes, there’s still a cushion of 25% protecting your broker’s share. Because your shares will be automatically sold if you do not act on the margin call, you are going to put your investments at risk. In fact, your broker could even sell other stock in your margin account in order to recoup a loss that selling the shares didn’t cover.

Even realizing the upside available, buying on margin can be very risky. For example, the value of the stock you buy could drop so much that you could lose the entire amount you invested and perhaps more. In order to protect brokerage firms from losses, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NASD, formerly the National Association of Securities Dealers, require that you maintain a margin account balance of at least 25% of the purchase price of and stock you buy long. Sometimes, brokers and investment firms require an even higher margin level, close to 30%, but not a lower one.

There are a lot of profits and many losses that come at the hands of margin accounts. Holding a margin account and trading stocks for profit using borrowed funds could potentially be one of your most impressive investing ideas to date. It’s a sure fire way to run the table with your investments. If you are too heavily leveraged, you need to be aware of panic selling, which often occurs as the overall market declines. That is one reason that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) instituted what is known as Regulation T, which limits the leveraged portion of any margin purchase to 50%. Having money invested by margin can be exciting, but never forget that you have money at risk when you invest.

Using Search Engine Optimization Firms To Improve Your Business's Bottom Line

The Search Engine Optimization industry was born from the exploding commercial and social Internet development movement of the early ‘90s. Just ten or so years ago, at the time of the World Wide Web boom, businesses were only beginning to respond to the increasing need for developing a marketable web presence - what is now called the SEO specialist. Nobody seemed to talk much about what made for the most effective web sites - outside of easy page navigation, cool design, and fast-loading pages. That’s because few seemed to fully comprehend the depth and grandiosity of the opportunities. And most new web development firms were more than busy enough just building web sites without needing to care much if those sites were actually performing for their customers.

Let’s review a brief Internet history. As the Internet boom rippled out globally, hundreds of thousands of businesses were literally online within weeks. Or maybe millions within months. Let’s just say it happened so fast, nobody could keep track! (I’d be more than willing to revise this statement if anybody out there has a reputable source for precise data on the matter!) Anyway, it’s safe to say that today, there are millions upon millions of web sites out there. And today, if your business doesn’t yet have an online presence, you already know that you can barely exist outside the range of your own home community.

Impressive Industry Development

Back in 1994, the United States had less than 1000 web development firms. Now, there are more than 40,000, and the economical search engine optimization industry is widely anticipated to grow another whopping 20 per cent over the next two years. This is encouraging news, despite recent speculation among governments, small and discouraging recession. Fueling the tremendous growth in the industry, in large part, is the relatively quick emergence of smaller web development companies, and the continued automation of medium and large business selling virtually any sort of service you can imagine to the four corners of the globe. Yet another contributor in the success in the industry is the steady drop in the cost of web development fees.

The past decade has seen an amazing transformation in communication, with the Internet driving e-commerce, led increasingly by more and more sophisticated web development. With the growth in e-commerce comes a natural wonder about how to create web sites that can track visitor activity and report on marketing results in much the same way as other forms of marketing. In addition, web site owners also want to improve numbers of random searchers who are targeting their web site.

When a potential visitor goes to Google to find, let’s say, a screwdriver, Bob’s Hardware wants to be the first listing that comes up on the search engine results. This is where natural SEO comes into play. Search Engine Optimization is the art of establishing, for any given website, a higher ranking in the search engine results than their competitors.

A web consulting firm can help small, medium, and big businesses improve their search engine rankings, traffic, sales, and overall profit. These firms can develop professionally customized SEO programs that guarantee results.

less than 2 hours to master any compiler).

A mini ebook should have these characteristics:

- Short and sweet, between 3-20 pages, not more
(no problem with that?)

You'd want to hold the attention of your readers, so being too
draggy will discourage that. And if they decide to close and read
it another time, you can be 90% sure that never happens.

- Tightly themed around the topic you had decided on

- Has built-in viral marketing mechanisms

- Packaged with a great title!

The title must convey strong emotion, benefits and command
instant attention.

With that said, here's a guideline to get you started in creating your first mini ebook:

1. Create a template
2. Get content fast
3. Inserting important links
4. Compile your mini ebook

Now let's look at each individual steps.

1. Create A Template

The easiest way to begin is by creating an outline, or standard template, which you can use for unlimited mini ebooks.

Begin your outline with an 'Introduction'. It's the best opportunity to introduce yourself and inform readers exactly what they can get out of the ebook. Think of it as a summary of the entire ebook.

The next step will be to either create a Table of Contents.

Make sure your chapter titles are descriptive and 'attention grabbing' too. This is a good way to ensure your ebooks get READ!

Finally, include a 'final word' or conclusion.

You can also add a 'recommended resource' section if you want
(should be used to summarize benefits of affiliate product)

For affiliate marketing read Affiliate Payload

2. Get Content Fast

This is the most tedious and for many, scary part. But don't worry you'll be filling your ebook with content in no time flat .

The challenge would be to create or get relevant content fast.

Question : Ask yourself: "How do I get content related to what
my market wants quickly?"

Answer : This may shock you : By using what's already
available!

The following are 6 of the most powerful techniques in generating instant mini ebook content:

• Writing Personal Endorsements and Reviews

This is the most direct way of creating mini ebooks.

It's essentially reviewing a product and talking about it. Have you ever describe something in excitement to a friend? Or have you used 'word-of-mouth' before?

It's the same thing, just that now you're writing it down!

This is another reason why you should have used the affiliate product you're promoting. It gives you motivation and drive to tell the world (being that it's an excellent product of course).

Affiliate Marketing: The System

In his book "How to Become a Marketing Superstar", Jeffrey J. Fox defines marketing as the "profitable identification, attraction, getting and keeping of good customers"…

In short it is getting and keeping a good customer. So we may look at email marketing as carrying out these functions by the use of emails.

If you prefer direct sales, the new Alex Goad's system Affiliate Payload is what you need.

We see then that there is the need for communication between the business owner and the prospect if any marketing is to take place. The traditional routes for this communication is through newspaper, radio, television, billboards, flyers, posters and direct mail. Email is a latecomer in this arsenal and is still going through its own evolution.

What must not be lost sight of is that email is only a means of communication.

The principles of marketing and money-making will remain the same even though there must be some adaptation to the medium, in this case email.

Don't hesitate to give Affiliate Payload a try. It integrates perfectly with email marketing.

The closest predecessor to email marketing will be direct mail marketing. Why? Because in reality, they are both direct response marketing.

By this I mean that you, the marketer, are looking for a direct response (eg. to buy a product) from the receiver of the marketing message. An example of a non-direct response will be a billboard ad, which normally is used for branding purposes. No one is expected to pull over and fill out a form on the billboard and send it in, or make a purchase while going 55 mph.

An email is an electronic mail and therefore you'll expect that there will be a lot of similarities between email marketing and direct mail marketing. But of course there are also significant differences as well.

For example in direct mail marketing businesses often risk thousands of dollars and have to wait for weeks before they can determine a campaign's success or failure.

With email marketing you can have the results within just a few hours for a single promotion!

Marketing through email is one of the most effective and essential promotional strategies online because of a number of factors.

Some of these are:

1. It is cheap – It costs almost nothing to send out 10,000 emails or 100,000. This is an incredible advantage over postal mail that can run into the thousands of dollars in postage.

2. It is immediate – You may have to wait a couple weeks before you can judge the response from a direct mail campaign but you can get response from emails within minutes of sending them out.

3. It has worldwide reach – An email can easily go to from Singapore to Canada as it can go to South America. The world is really your market so your reach is much greater. Of course a mail can go anywhere but it's much easier to get an email address than to get a foreign postal address.

In direct mail marketing, you will create a marketing piece and then buy a list from a list broker. You will then carry out a test of the sales letter before you do any mass mailing. Normally you are only allowed to use this list once. So mistakes can be very costly.

With email marketing you also need a list of emails to mail to and you are expected to manage this list instead of a list broker. In most cases you'll build this list for yourself so you have more control, and ultimately more profits at the end of the day.

There is also on eUserReviews.com a useful Affiliate Payload Bonus that is given for free. Don't miss it.
